Although not a great picture, I got this shot yesterday while traveling up Lake Road, just past the recreation center. If anyone knows anything about this animal, please let me know. He/she has no collar and appears to be very afraid of people. (Click on the picture to make it larger for viewing)
I have encountered him/her mostly on Woodridge Road, although I have also seen him at the corner of Lake Rd. and Dogwood Rd. and walking down Lakeledge Circle. He was out in 8 degree weather on February 27th during the snowstorm. It is possible that he was hunting deer as something sent about 13 deer racing down the mountain earlier that morning. Even though I had corn out for them they raced on through my yard and continued down the mountain. I have been coming here since the early 80s and have only seen them act that way when they were running from something.
