Snow At Last!!!

During the snowfall between January 1st and 2nd this little fellow was well established near the bird feeder.

The views from "Kats" were spectacular and you could actually see the road to Zionville from this distance.

We finally managed to receive between 5" and 8" of the cold white stuff here on Beech. Today we had the blue skies and no wind to enjoy it all. The skiers are taking advantage of the slopes this week before the warmer temperatures take over and we lose it yet again. However, like they say in Frosty the Snowman, "he'll be back again someday". We hope it's real, real soon!

Great picture of the Cardinal! Thanks for the info about the Beech Mountain Park on HighCountryMomSquad, com! I'll add this to our links of local websites, if that's OK with you!
