Autumn at Oz - THIS WEEKEND

The Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce is proud to present "Autumn at Oz" for 2012, now larger than ever. On Saturday and Sunday, October 6 and 7, travel back in time to the enchanted "Land of Oz", high atop Beech Mountain. This is a perfect time to experience the mountains at the pinnacle of autumn's Fall colors due to the early seasonal change this year. The weather is forcasted to be a balmy 66 degrees and partly sunny. Incrediable weather for an even more incredible experience.


Children and adults a like will be enchanted as they experience the re-creation of Dorothy's trip from her farm home in Kansas through the twister and down the yellow brick road to the "Land of OZ". Along your journey you will be met a full cast, portraying many of the vibrant characters from the original movie production.

Spend the day, better yet spend the weekend and enjoy all "Autumn at Oz" has to offer. Enjoy the magic of being in "The Village" located in the Resort of Ski Beech, before and after you experience the Land of OZ. Stay for live music, dancing, multiple food and beverage options, crafts, merchandise, hay ride, bon fire and a full day of entertainment that will delight your senses as the "Autumn at OZ" festival prepares you for the fantasy journey through the Land of OZ.

Tickets are selling fast online for 2012 at www.autumnatoz.com for $20 in advance to guarantee an entry time into OZ or you can take your chances and pay $25 at the gate. Several sessions are already sold out so act fast. This year we created a special limited VIP ticket for $40 online that offers special amenities such as VIP parking, reception area, no line entrance to the Resort and if you come on Saturday have an extra day on us in "The Village" enjoying the food and entertainment. Group rates are offered for Sunday only at $15 per person with groups of 15 or more by calling 1-800-488-5506.

Theme park entrance times are also expanded for 2012. The purchase of your ticket designates the time that you will be transported to the Land of OZ. The park opens at 9:30AM and tickets are available for entrance to the Land of OZ every hour on the half hour until 4:30PM. Come early and stay late, enjoy the shows and entertainment at the Resort prior to and after leaving the Land of OZ.
